Amsterdam

One day I came home from a long and boring day at the university when my 'homie' told me she had a surprise for me. As I am a kind of curious person, I immediately was excited about this surprise! When she told me she invited me to go to Amsterdam, that really made my day! (--> Thanks again Serafien!)

We both skipped a Friday at the university so we could enjoy 3 full days at Amterdam! During the weekend we participated on a guided tour by bike with a guide who truly knew everything about the city, and who did a great job telling us the most amazing details. We also visited the house of Anne Frank, went tasting great types of cheese and went to FoAm, a photomuseum where we could enjoy the collection of Diane Arbus.

Since we are young and we like to take pictures, we always spent some hours a day looking for nice photolocations. I'll post some of the pictures down here. If anyone needs information about Amsterdam, don't hesitate to ask! I'll be glad to help you ;-).

From Paris with love

This year I'm on Erasmus Belgica, a program in which you're on Erasmus in your own country. Because I do my last year in another language, namely french, I will receive 2 degrees!

I really enjoy being on Erasmus in Liège because I can still go home whenever I want (I'm only 2 hours on my way!) but I still get the experience to network with students from all over the world.

2 weeks ago we did a trip to Paris with 50 students. It was fun and these are my 3 favourite pictures of the trip...

Sun Jam @ Utila (Honduras)

Three weeks ago I went to Utila with some friends of Germany and Honduras. Utila is one of the Honduras’ Bay Islands and attracts lots of backpackers from all over the world. The reason we visited the island at this period of the year was because of the famous event called ‘Sun Jam’, which is held every August.

Sun Jam is held on Water Cay, so for reaching it you need to look for someone who owns a ‘lancha’! We were lucky to have a friend who could take us with his yacht which made the experience even more special! We pre-partied in the middle of the ocean and by the time we arrived people of all over the world were rocking the party already! ;-)

* The beaches (even though the ones in Roatan are way nicer!)
* The friendly people
* The parties (+ cocktails for € 1)
* Everything is relatively cheap

About me

My name is Julie and I'm a 21-year-old belgian girl. I love to be creative, to travel (especially to north and central america) and to discover new things in life. My boyfriend lives in Honduras, which means that we have a long-distance relationship, but we are doing this for more than 2 years allready and it works for us, so that's great!

I've been thinking a while allready about creating my own blog and I'm still discovering how to do it. I wanted to write this blog in English because like that it can reach more people. Dutch is my native language so excuse me for the mistakes I'll probably make! You can always mail me if I should correct something! ;-)

When I'm looking for inspiration for making something or when I'm looking for information about a place that I'm going to visit, I always look for nice blogs which really help me to discover the nicest spots in a city or country or which give me inspiration into making something original.

With this blog I want to show what my interests are, what I make in my free time and which places I recommend you to visit. Of course it would be nice to get some reaction on it so I can meet people who like what I write or who visited places I've been to.
